VOXYS Lab at Kaliningrad: almost one year in leading Russian Free Economic Zone

On December 7, Kaliningrad hosted conference dedicated to the development of a special economic zone in the Kaliningrad region. This year the Kaliningrad region took 8th place in the international TOP10 rating of special economic zones "Global Free Zones of the Year" according to fDi Intelligence, a part of The Financial Times international publishing group.

VOXYS Lab Communications and IT Development Center has been a resident of the Kaliningrad Special Economic Zone since the beginning of 2021. During the conference, VOXYS Lab head Viktor Budarin spoke about the progress of the company's investment project in the region and the development of digital products. 

Viktor also shared his vision on working in Kaliningrad: "We are interested in Kaliningrad due to the high HR-potential of the region, opportunities for great work and life balance the city gives, attracting highly qualified personnel, including IT specialists. Relocation program to Kaliningrad for talents from other regions is currently implemented at VOXYS Lab. As our experience shows, qualified IT specialists enthusiastically consider offers to move to Kaliningrad - a region with a rich historical heritage, the quality of the urban environment, picturesque seaside, proximity to Europe, and opportunities for education at local universities – all these are advantages that candidates pay attention to".

In 2021 VOXYS Lab implemented the VOXYS Management Standard management system, carried out technical preparation and launch of new client service features and projects. Also a chat platform was successfully launched on eight current communications projects, and HR-link system was introduced to organize employees’ docflow. 

"Currently, VOXYS Lab specialists are working on creating software solutions in the field of artificial intelligence, speech analytics, and automated monitoring of online media," Viktor Budarin told. 

The VOXYS Lab communications center plans to increase the staffing of the site in Kaliningrad to 90% in 2022, creating up to 500 jobs and organizing a significant part of the work in a hybrid form - a combination of office presence with remote employment. 

"Kaliningrad Region in the Group of Top Eight" conference was also attended by: Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region Dmitry Kuskov; Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Dmitry Birichevsky; Head of the Representative Office of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region under the Government of the Russian Federation Denis Saliy; representatives of the Government of the Kaliningrad region; heads of the largest resident companies of the Kaliningrad Region Special Economic Zone.
